Walter graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1994 where he received a degree in Finance with an emphasis in Real Estate and Investments. After Graduation, Walter returned to his hometown of Macon, Georgia and worked his way up through the ranks at First Liberty Bank. He then moved to Fairfield Financial in 1996. Walter remained with Fairfield Financial for three years and in 1999 left and joined GE Capital Mortgage Company selling private mortgage insurance. Walter started Midtown Mortgage in early 2001 and enjoys working everyday to help people reach their financial goals. He finds himself in a unique position often working with the same family on multiple loans over the years. The most rewarding part of his day is helping someone eventually purchase their dream home. Walter and his wife Allyson have twin boys and enjoy all of the excitement and entertainment that they bring.

Ellen Brown has a deep background in Real Estate. She was a Macon Realtor for eleven years before moving to Northside Mortgage where she worked for three years. Ellen then joined Walter in the founding of MidTowne Mortgage in 2001 and the two have worked well together and never looked back. Ellen is a member of Martha Bowman Methodist Church, she has three grandchildren and a passion for home decorating.


Dawn Hammack

Dawn Hammack joined MidTowne Mortgage in 2003 as a Loan Processor. She has a social service background, having worked for the Make A Wish Foundation, Georgia Childrens Home and DFACS. She continues to pursue her passion of helping people every day as she assists in getting the "deal closed". Dawn is a pet lover and avid volunteer in the Macon community.
